THE HISTORY...

From the 12th century onward, the cannabis plant migrated from Ethiopia to South Africa through Arab trade. The name(s) evolved over the course of centuries... Dacha, Dagha, Daka, Dakka. These words ultimately described a feeling, not a plant. Dagga = a group of narcotic plants. The word Dagga is the modern term that was meant to vilify and stigmatize the cannabis plant. 

 

THE COMPANY...

When researching and deciding the name and branding for our brand, we fell in love with this story. As a company that is committed to the growth and development of the culture, and ultimately ending the stigma surrounding cannabis; we wanted to start at its roots. 

Together we will take Dagga back, restoring its positive origins - it is more than a plant, it is a feeling.
